GREAT
FALLS, MONTANA (pop. 60,000)
Guests have two
options when coming to fish the Missouri River.
The first is to stay in Great Falls, which has a number
of national hotel chains, as well as a wider variety of
dining options than found on the river. You won't
even need to rent a car...you can take a cab or shuttle from the
airport to your hotel, and I'll pick you up in the
morning and drop you off after fishing.
CRAIG, MONTANA (pop. not
many)
Between Wolf Creek and Cascade, MT., are several
villages, restaurant/bars, hotels and summer homes that
comprise the "Canyon" area. Craig is
"headquarters" for many anglers. Fly shops,
shuttle services, great meals at Izzak's, and local
flavor at Joe's Bar make Craig the happening place on
the 'Mo. Lodging and dining in
the Canyon varies, but it is definitely more rural than
Great Falls. For those who want that "Montana
experience" we recommend that you stay on the river so
you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Canyon.
Accommodations in the Canyon are somewhat limited and
are often reserved 6-12 months in advance, so please
plan early! See below to book our cabins at
the Craig Trout Camp!
